Austrian Competences in Aeronautics Technology

FOTEC

FOTEC provides research, development and engineering capabilities in additive manufacturing, IT services and propulsion systems. It operates as an research subsiduary of the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt. The research is focused on additive manufacturing, in-line process monitoring, electro-chemical polishing, chemical and electrical propulsion and AR/VR applications.

AM materials: Ti6Al4V, AlSi10Mg, Maraging steel 1.2709, Nickel alloy HX and PH17-4 stainless steel; AM processes: Filament-based printing (FDM - Polymer), selective laser melting (SLM - Metal), selective laser sintering (SLS - Polymer) and lithography-based metal manufacturing (LMM - Metal, Incus system); Propulsion: TVAC chambers, chemprop test facility; Testing: Shock and random vibration, SEM;
