Graz University of Technology - Institute of Machine Components and Methods of Development
Research at the Institute focuses on fatigue analysis and assessment of mechanical components and structures, methods for finite element analysis and simulation, and high-speed railway vehicle engineering. The associated Fatigue Testing Facility focuses on the development and realisation of specialised automated test rigs for fatigue and vibration tests on mechanical structures and components.
Technologies and competences
The competences are found in the fields of fatigue analysis of mechanical structures and components, FE simulation and FE analysis, fatigue tests and component tests. Furthermore, automated test rigs (system and component level), hydraulic components, metrology as well as test rig automation are areas of focus at the Institute.
