Technische Universität Wien - Institute of Mechanics and Mechatronics
The internal structure of the Institute is formed by working groups: Engineering Dynamics, Vehicle Dynamics, Solid Mechanics, Measurement Technology and Actuators, Control Engineering and Process Automation. The staff consists of nine professors and about 35 research/project assistants. Computer and software resources are ample, the experimental equipment is suitable for vibration measurements.
Technologies and competences
Know-how includes vibration analysis and measurement, multi-body dynamics and application of MBS software, especially in vehicle and aircraft dynamics. Strong expertise also exists in tire mechanics, including modelling, simulation and analysis of experimental data. There is ongoing research on new methods in control theory applied to engineering systems, including aircraft systems.
