Technische Universität Wien - Institute for Energy Systems and Thermodynamics
The Institute for Energy Systems and Thermodynamics is within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering as the centre of competence for the mechanical and process engineering aspects of energy technology. The Department of Fluid-Flow Machinery, as one of two departments, is responsible for research and education in thermal turbo-machinery.
Technologies and competences
The Department of Fluid-Flow Machinery has competences in numerical and experimental research for turbo-machinery components. Main areas of activity are axial turbine secondary and tip-leakage flow, labyrinth seal flow and advanced turbo-machinery seals.
